Hi, I’m Jessie Richter, founder of JaZing Clean.
People often ask me, “What made you want to start a cleaning business?”
It all started when I was 7 years old in El Salvador. My father passed away during the war and my mom traveled to the U.S. to find a better life for my younger sisters and me. Living with my grandparents, there was constant cooking, cleaning, washing, and never-ending chores. Life was about fulfilling duties, not about having fun or being a kid.
One day, we took a rare trip to the beach. For the first time, I was able to experience what others did to relax and unwind. Obligations were set aside and nature seemed like a cure for everything. I remember thinking, “This is what it’s all about!”
Most of my life has been intensely focused on getting things done. But today, I’m committed to providing myself and others with more time and energy for the things they enjoy. That's why in 1998, my mom and I formed a team of highly-skilled cleaning experts and JaZing Clean was launched.
To provide others with more time and freedom seemed like a perfect way to honor my childhood and contribute to the quality of life for myself and others.
